How to file Form W-2
You can file Form W-2 electronically or by hand. However, employers who need to complete more than 250 W-2 forms must file electronically. To fill out W-2 online, register to Business Services Online.
The registration process is simple and you should be set within minutes. You’ll only be asked your name, date of birth, SSN, address, and contact information. Upon registering, you can then go ahead and complete your registration with your phone number to secure your account.
Use the User ID you’re given on registration to complete phone registration. After your registration is complete to the Business Services Online on Social Security Administration, start completing W-2 online. The BSO will also allow you to complete Form W-3, Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements and print out copies for distribution to your employees and to state or local governments.
This can also be done for W-2 or any other forms that you can fill out on BSO. To learn the full registration process to the SSA’s Business Services Online, visit the article below.
